Museum of the Future, Killa Designs, 2022
Killa Design used state-of-the-art modeling and machining tools to design the Museum of the Future’s abstract structure, which is composed of 2,400 diagonal, interlocking steel pieces. The project’s solid structure, green mound, and ovular void represent humanity, the Earth, and the unknown future, respectively. The façade, which serves as a canvas for the quotes of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum rendered in the calligraphy of Emirati artist Mattar bin Lahej, functions as windows during the day and at night is illuminated to cast a dramatic effect.
