Embassy of the United Arab Emirates, Washington, DC

The United Arab Emirates and United States are close friends and strong allies. With shared interests and common values, the UAE and US work together to promote regional security, create economic prosperity and address pressing global challenges. As an ally and close friend, the UAE takes an active role to help US communities in need. Through engagement with hospitals, schools and foundations across the United States, the UAE supports initiatives that improve health and expand opportunity.

The UAE Embassy’s Cultural Diplomacy program facilitates connections between Emiratis and Americans in areas ranging from food, music, arts and film, to sports, science, and environmental protection.

Meridian International Center

Meridian International Center strengthens U.S. engagement with the world and accelerates collaboration on global issues through the exchange of leaders, ideas, and culture. Founded over 60 years ago as a non-partisan, non- profit diplomatic and global leadership institution, Meridian works with governments, the private sector, and the diplomatic community to develop exchange, training, culture, exhibitions, and convening programs to help leaders better address the challenges and opportunities of an increasingly globalized society.

The Meridian Center for Cultural Diplomacy (MCCD) is the leading center in the United States that employs the arts and culture as an effective tool of diplomacy and cross-cultural understanding. MCCD is the U.S. Department of State’s trusted partner in reaching audiences through cultural diplomacy activities while enhancing U.S. public diplomacy efforts and national interests abroad. MCCD also supports the diplomatic community and private sector through customized exchanges, cultural programs, exhibitions, and content development projects aimed at providing American audiences an opportunity to learn more about other cultures.
